The Fronius Energy Cost Assistant utilises AI technology to support the PV system owner with battery storage to improve their energy use. The system allows users to get the most out of their storage system and save on electricity costs.
The energy cost assistant continuously analyses the expected PV production of the system, the energy consumption and the current electricity price and adapts the storage strategy accordingly. Not only does the customer’s electricity bill drop significantly, but they can also make optimum use of their energy resources without any additional hardware, simply in the app.
The app reacts reliably to fluctuations in energy prices and thus always determines the ideal time for users to charge or discharge their battery.
Energy prices are retrieved directly from the exchange and integrated into the AI-supported energy optimization. If the electricity price is low at night, for example, the user’s battery is automatically charged via the power grid. This allows them to benefit from low electricity prices, even when the sun isn’t shining.
