elemental Arena at InstallerSHOW 2024
The elemental Arena is returning to InstallerSHOW later this month, sponsored by Mixergy, bringing together a stellar line-up of speakers for three days of inspiring content from 24 to 26 June.
It’s a space where our audience will hear from industry leaders in a range of panel discussions, keynote talks, Q&As and interactive seminars. This theatre will be expertly facilitated by sustainability journalist Rachel England and broadcaster Philippa Forrester.
Kicking off the content on 24 June, we’ll have Bill Esterson MP, Chair of the Energy Security and Net Zero Committee, giving a speech about licensing the construction trades, particularly those carrying out retrofit work. Immediately after this, our second MP of the day, Miatta Fahnbulleh, the minister for energy consumers, will be giving a speech covering the Warm Homes Plan and the roll-out of heat pumps. DESNZ policy officials will be in the elemental Arena later that day to talk about heat pump training and answer your questions in an informal setting.
Also on 24, we’ll have Chris Skidmore – the author of the Mission Zero report – discussing the correlation between healthy buildings and healthy people with an expert panel that includes Innovate UK and Mixergy.
Other highlights on day one of the show include a panel discussion with the teams behind the HAUS at InstallerSHOW, who will be talking about how this approach to housebuilding could help to meet the government’s ambitious targets.
On 25 June, our attention will turn to retrofit and the day starts with a session from Digital Buildings on retrofits that pay back – we held a webinar on this very topic earlier this year, too. Come along to find out how to use retrofit to generate revenue.
Later on 25, Grant Shapps will be joining a panel to discuss how we ensure retrofit funding goes to those that need it – and delivers energy efficiency that makes a difference. Finishing off the day, the National Retrofit Hub is curating three sessions, with one looking at EPC reform and what this means for retrofit.
On the final day of the show, the elemental Arena will look at the Future Homes Standard as well as the so-called “rooftop revolution” and what’s been achieved in scaling up solar PV installations. The last session of the day is from the National Energy Foundation, who’ll be talking about heat pump affordability.
