Renowned architect Michael Pawlyn has been signed up to speak at elementalLONDON on 20th November.
Michael will give one of the keynote talks at the show, devoted to buildings operation and efficiency, running at Excel London from 19-20 November. In three main content theatres, covering both commercial building and housing, the subjects under discussion range from decarbonising the NHS to Healthy Homes and Buildings to Designing for Net Zero.
Michael is much in demand as a speaker on subjects such as sustainability and regenerative design and his TED talk has attracted 1.8 million views.
He set up architecture practice Exploration in 2007 to focus on high-performance buildings and the circular economy after previously working with Grimshaw on the award-winning Eden Project.
His most recent book Flourish, co-authored with Sarah Ichioka, describes the next urgent shift in thinking: how we move on from conventional sustainability to a regenerative mindset in which we strive to have a net positive impact.
The show features involvement from a wide range of stakeholders in decarbonising buildings, including Innovate UK, Construct Net Zero, CIBSE, RIBA, RICS, BE:ST Scotland, National Retrofit Hub, NHIC and Skyline Skills Hub.
