Platform Housing Group sets net zero Environmental Sustainability Strategy
Platform Housing Group has launched its latest Environmental Sustainability Strategy, setting out its roadmap for creating lasting positive impacts for customers, communities and the environment.
The Group, which manages 50,000 homes across the Midlands, said the strategy, covering 2026-2028, outlines how it will respond to some of the most significant environmental challenges facing society, including climate change, biodiversity loss and resource efficiency.
Platform’s has a target of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050 and has set interim emission reduction targets to meet it.
The Group said that creating more sustainable homes is a key priority and the strategy sets out its commitment to improving housing energy efficiency by 2030. It also sets out plans to reduce waste and resource consumption, enhance biodiversity and work closely with suppliers and partners to create positive environmental outcomes.

The launch of the strategy coincides with Platform’s first Sustainability Week, providing colleagues with opportunities to learn more about the organisation’s environmental ambitions and how they can contribute.
