London Construction Awards 2026 to celebrate achievement in buildings and construction
elementalLONDON is joining London Build to launch the quest to recognise best practice and achievement across the built environment in the London Construction Awards.
The LCAs will for the first time feature buildings performance and sustainability categories to reflect the elemental universe of buildings efficiency, low-carbon performance and occupant comfort.The Awards will this year feature 21 categories, providing scope for all parts of the built environment supply chain to enter. Categories include Contractor of the Year (main and specialist), Women in Construction Initiative, and no fewer than three Project categories – Residential, Commercial and Retrofit.
The new categories are Energy Efficient Innovation of the Year; Low-Carbon Building of the Year and The Occupant Impact Award. While these are elemental-focused, there is of course no reason why the elementalLONDON audience cannot enter all categories relevant to them.
In addition, there is a revised category called Career Development Initiative, designed to recognise graduates alongside apprentices – and covering mid-career as well as early-career.
This year’s Awards will take place on the evening of the first day of the elementalLONDON and London Build shows at Excel – November 25th – so shortlisted entrants won’t have to make a special journey to London for the event.
The LCAs are designed to recognise genuine industry achievement in buildings and construction and the roster of judges, drawn from senior levels across the built environment will be shortly announced – providing assurance that all entries will be taken seriously and judges on their individual merits. The awards host, selected for their ability both to entertain the audience and to steer the night, will also be announced shortly.
