HPA UK creates Governing Body Committee to represent heat pump supply chain

HPA UK has strengthened its heat pump sector representation with the formation of a Governing Body Committee, drawn from across the heat pump supply chain.

The Governing Body Committee reports to the directors of the HPA UK and is constructed to allow full representation of the sector, with three co-opted spaces available and one space reserved for the elected Installer Representative.

The association said that following the successful merger of the Heat Pump Association, Ground Source Heat Pump Association and Heat Pump Federation at the start of 2026, this move will see the new committee shape the strategic direction and oversee the delivery of the association’s Workplan.

It noted that forming a representative Governing Body Committee is a key step in ensuring effective checks and balances, ‘reinforcing HPA UK’s role as a trusted and reputable trade association representing the interests of the heat pump sector.’

The new committee members will serve for a mix of two-to-three-year terms to provide continuity and stability to the association; its work and messaging.
