Haier HVAC UK and Wolseley announce ‘complete renewable solutions’ partnership
Haier HVAC UK is to supply its range of renewable heating & energy solutions to Wolseley, which will see heat pumps, battery storage and energy management systems being made available via the Plumb Centre network of over 420 locations.
The partnership expands Wolseley’s renewables range and improves access to low-carbon technologies for UK installers. It also reflects Wolseley Group’s growing investment in the renewables market. Earlier this year it launched Renewables Centre, a brand that supports installers with training, accredited system design, and expert technical guidance as they build capability in low-carbon systems. It provides a fully integrated support package for installers, from MCS-accredited system design to application support, commissioning guidance, and hands-on training.
With two dedicated training centres open in Shrewsbury and Swansea, demand has been so high for training courses that additional dates have already been added to meet installer interest, the company reports.
John Hancock, Chief Operating Officer at Wolseley Group (pictured), said:
This partnership with Haier HVAC Solutions reflects our continued investment in building a strong, future-ready renewables proposition for the trade. But it’s not just about product, it’s also about training, support, and capability. With Haier’s innovation and global credibility, and our national Plumb Centre branch reach and Renewables Centre expertise, we’re giving installers a full-service solution to help them succeed in the fast-changing renewables market.”
The partners said the move aligns with the UK’s Net Zero targets by increasing the adoption of low carbon heating and cooling systems. Haier and Wolseley are aiming to drive down costs and improve accessibility and trust for renewable technologies. Haier HVAC UK will be providing pre and after sales support to the UK installer network through Wolseley’s Plumb and Renewable centres. Wolseley UK will provide a strong support for the partnership with its market leading distribution, delivery service and nationwide reach.
The partnership will see a significant expansion in the availability to installers of Haier products, such as its R290 heating range, which includes air source heat pumps and heat pump water heaters.
Haier said the partnership demonstrates the strategic direction of Haier HVAC UK, moving from a typically regional focus to being on board with an industry-trusted national distributor that ‘understands and underpins Haier’s key values of high performing products and services that are built to serve the UK market.’
The products are built around the Haier’s hOn ecosystem, which the company says will ensure seamless integration and easy installation for installers and trade professionals:
This smart connectivity allows end users to create a fully linked energy system, combining heat pumps with solar storage solutions. Wolseley’s role will be key in promoting this technology directly to installers, who trust their local branches for professional advice.”
Dimos Vasilakis Haier HVAC’s Head of Sales, UK & Ireland, said
With the growing demand from both the market and legislation, this collaboration marks an important milestone for our business in the UK as we continue to expand our presence in the market and bring our renewables range to a wider customer base. Together with Wolseley, we are committed to delivering exceptional value, service, and sustainable solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers across the UK.”
In addition to the Plumb Centre network, select Wolseley Renewable Centre’s across the UK will showcase a range of Haier’s latest solutions. The partners said these showrooms will provide trade professionals with the opportunity to experience the Haier product first hand, including training and the full MCS umbrella to equip installers with the necessary skills and certifications they need to install sustainable heating solutions.
Bob Cowlard, Haier HVAC Europe CEO, added:
The UK is a cornerstone market for Haier HVAC in Europe, and building a strong presence here is essential to our long-term growth across the region. Our partnership with Wolseley marks an important step in expanding our reach and ensuring customers across the UK have access to our innovative solutions. This collaboration not only strengthens our UK operations but also reinforces the wider European business as we continue to scale and invest for the future.”
