UK Green Building Council to curate building and energy discussions at elementalLONDON

The next edition of elementalLONDON at Excel on 25th and 26th November will host discussions on the most pressing topics in the decarbonisation of buildings, curated by the UK Green Building Council.

The UKGBC, one of the country’s most influential sustainability organisations, is partnering with elementalLONDON to provide sessions looking in depth at the challenges and opportunities for buildings and the related energy landscape.

The Council’s 580 members range across the built environment, including building owners, local authorities, specifiers and suppliers. Its stated mission is ‘to radically improve the sustainability of the built environment, by transforming the way it is planned, financed, designed, constructed, maintained, operated and repurposed’ – a mission which meshes perfectly with the aims of elementalLONDON.

UKGBC will be curating two panels in the Sustainability Arena on Thursday 26th November – focusing on buildings at 10am and on energy at 11am. It will also host a more informal networking session in the elementalLONDON Networking Hub at 2pm on 26th November. Details of the topics and panellists will be released in the coming weeks.

The Council will also be working with our sister show London Build Expo on a range of collaborative projects for the construction industry.

The content programme at elementalLONDON will take place across six theatres, including two CIBSE theatres and the NHIC Knowledge Hub, alongside theatres covering Climate Solutions, Housing and Sustainability. Further developments are set to be announced shortly.
